On August 27, 2025, in alignment with China’s fast-emerging low-altitude economy, the Jiangsu UAV Application Skills Competition Final was held at Jiangsu Jiaotong College. Jointly organized by the Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions and the Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Society, the event was designed to follow the rising low-altitude economy, highlight the active role of application skills competition in building the industrial application system, and support the sector’s sustainable development.
The competition was co-hosted by the Low-Altitude Economy Industry Research Institute of the Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Society, JSTI Group, and Jiangsu Aviation Enterprises Group Inc., among others. Attendees included senior provincial leaders such as Wei Guoqiang (Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress and Chairman of the Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions), Shi Heping (Former Vice Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and President of the Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Society), Wu Yonghong (Secretary of the Party Committee and Director-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation) and Yin Min (Member of the Standing Committee of the Zhenjiang Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhenjiang Municipal Committee). More than 160 attendees, including representatives from the organizing and executive committees as well as competitors and team leaders, joined the opening ceremony.
As a co-construction partner of the Low-Altitude Economy Industry Research Institute and a recognized innovator in the low-altitude sector, Duolun Technology was invited to participate in the event. At its dedicated exhibition booth, the company showcased two of its cutting-edge solutions for smart airports and low-altitude security: the Unmanned Airport Perimeter Intelligent Defense System and the Low-Altitude Bird Detection and Prevention System, which drew significant interest from government leaders, industry experts, and competition attendees.
Built on intelligent sensing, AI-powered image analysis, and automated control technologies, Duolun Technology’s Unmanned Airport Perimeter Intelligent Defense System enables three-dimensional defense, real-time monitoring, and intelligent alerts across airport perimeters and airspace up to 300 meters. Integrated with unmanned patrol and response vehicles, the system strengthens decision support, early-warning coordination, and emergency response capabilities. It enhances the automation and autonomy of airport security operations, significantly boosting response efficiency while reducing labor costs.
Another innovative product - the Low-Altitude Bird Detection and Prevention System-focuses on bird-strike prevention. Using a combination of high-precision radar, optical, and thermal imaging technologies, the system delivers highly accurate identification, all-weather monitoring, and flight-path prediction of bird activities. It can provide real-time alerts for airports, wind farms, and other facilities, and can be linked with integrated bird-dispersal devices to actively deter birds, effectively mitigating bird strike risks and safeguarding low-altitude operations.
During the competition, Shi Heping, President of the Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Society, along with several leaders of industry regulators, experts, and participating teams, visited Duolun Technology’s booth. They received detailed briefings on the systems’ functions and applications, and recognized the company’s technological expertise and product development capabilities in low-altitude security and smart airport construction.
Looking ahead, as a co-construction partner of the Low-Altitude Economy Industry Research Institute of the Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Transportation Society, Duolun Technology will continue to leverage the institute’s platform to increase R&D investment in low-altitude security and unmanned systems applications. The company aims to deepen the integration of UAVs with frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, and to roll out more solutions tailored to smart airports, low-altitude management, and urban air mobility (UAM). By advancing the deep industry-academia-research integration and application, Duolun Technology seeks to inject technological momentum into the high-quality development of Jiangsu’s and China’s low-altitude economy.
