On August 27, Duolun Technology (603528.SH) released its 2025 interim results. Despite revenue headwinds in the first half of the year, the company doubled down on its strategic investment in artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on the integration of robotics and mass transportation.
According to the “AI + Transportation” strategy, Duolun Technology is sharpening its core business focus while accelerating deployment in frontier fields. Through technological innovation and resource integration, the company is advancing a strategic upgrade, with multi-scenario applications of its “transportation robots” expected to enter the market in the second half of 2025.
Hard Tech at Work: Reshaping the Paradigm of Traffic Safety and Operations
Duolun Technology has long been deeply engaged in the transportation sector, and has built a diversified portfolio spanning smart vehicle administration, smart driver training, smart transportation, smart vehicle inspection, and new energy.
As a national high-tech enterprise, a specialized and sophisticated “little giant” enterprise, Duolun Technology has consistently prioritized technological innovation as the engine of corporate growth. As of June 2025, the company and its subsidiaries had contributed to the formulation of three national standards and 13 industry standards, and secured a total of 356 authorized patents.
With AI technologies driving growth, Duolun Technology continues to strengthen its leadership in smart vehicle administration and smart driver training. In terms of vehicle administration, the company has partnered with motor vehicle departments in Hangzhou, Chuzhou, and other cities to build AI-powered online service review and smart vehicle administration systems. These platforms significantly improve processing efficiency and are helping government services transform from traditional counter-based operations to cloud-based digital services.
Concerning driver training, Duolun Technology’s “DoDo Driver” platform has integrated a domestically developed large AI models to enhance its “Lingxi” product line. This empowers the industry to evolve from experience-driven to data-driven training, from results-focused to process-intelligent analysis, and from labor-intensive to technology-intensive operations, paving the way toward a more intelligent, data-enabled, and personalized future for driver education.
In the smart transportation arena, the company’s Unmanned Airport Perimeter Intelligent Defense System leverages artificial intelligence, machine vision, and autonomous driving technologies. Using front-end video equipment, integrated patrol-and-response vehicles, and advanced analytical algorithms, the system performs real-time detection and behavior analysis of key personnel, objects, and aerial targets within the perimeter. By integrating these insights with existing perimeter sensing data, it enables comprehensive assessment and event classification, delivers instant alerts, and automatically deploys deterrent measures when safety is ensured.
Powered by Capital and Technology, Duolun Technology Builds a Robotics Ecosystem
Seizing the opportunity in the booming humanoid robot industry, Duolun Technology is pursuing a dual-track strategy of capital investment and technological collaboration. The company collaborates with Rockets Capital with Xpeng as a cornerstone investor to have established a dedicated investment fund that invested in Shenzhen EngineAI Robotics Technology Co., Ltd., giving Duolun Technology an indirect 1.57% stake in EngineAI. The investment is expected to strengthen the company’s capabilities in secondary development and full-scale manufacturing of humanoid robots, while advancing research and applications in large transportation. The company aims to gradually deploy humanoid robots across multiple mobility scenarios, including vehicle administration, traffic management, security patrols, and emergency response. Complemented by the IMU business of its subsidiary Bynav, the move completes Duolun’s closed-loop ecosystem in humanoid robots. According to project plans, prototype humanoid robots for administrative assistance and traffic management are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
Additionally, Duolun Technology has entered a strategic partnership with the Road Traffic Safety Research Center of the Ministry of Public Security to jointly develop vehicle inspection robots. The collaboration aims to pioneer the automation and intelligence of motor vehicle inspections across multiple scenarios, including auto sales, used car transactions, and vehicle safety testing. Up to now, the prototype inspection robot has been completed and is currently in the phase of trial verification, with commercialization scheduled for the end of 2025.
Since late July, rising investor attention to the robot sector has fueled a strong rally in Duolun Technology’s stock, which recently hit a one-year high. Looking ahead, the company will deepen collaboration with leading robotics research institutions and enterprises to advance technological innovation and industrial development across components, hardware, algorithms, and commercial deployment in real-world scenarios.
